What the toolkit evaluates
Checks cover selected catalog identifier fields, including merchant references, manufacturer references and supported GTIN-family formats. The Catalog Data Readiness Score is the share of rows with no issue detected by the active catalog rules.
What the toolkit does not decide
It does not certify customs compliance, shipment eligibility or customs clearance. A valid format does not prove ownership, product assignment, registration or acceptance in a carrier’s message. The tool does not apply an automatic exemption based on the €150 threshold.
Regulatory uncertainty
Where available evidence does not justify a conclusive rule, the result says “Needs regulatory verification.” Consult the carrier, postal operator, customs representative or qualified adviser responsible for the actual shipment and electronic filing.
Effective-date context
The 1 November 2026 scope described on this site concerns applicable product-identification data for EU-bound postal consignments in the UPU channel. Do not assume it describes every commercial, express, freight or marketplace flow.
